4.2.6: Biology and Evolution

 

What were the scientific discoveries that led the contemporary mosaic from “natural history” or “natural theology” to “biology” in the late 1800s? The theory of evolution upended the study of animal life by suggesting that organisms change over time, and even go extinct.
