1.2.1 How Do We Know?
This video raises questions on the nature of knowledge, how we come to assess whether knowledge is valid, and how we might think of human nature from an evolutionary perspective. Some of the big questions this video invites us to think about are:
What is the relationship between language, knowledge, and reality?
Does the Anthropocene require new directions in theology?
Do you think that the age of the Anthropocene may be seen as an age of humility?
What implications are there for theology if human nature were to be considered fixed or mutable?
The Madrasa Discourses project proposes that a conciliation of traditional Islamic thought with contemporary scientific and philosophical worldviews can result in orthodox affirmations of human dignity essential for peaceful coexistence in a pluralistic world.
